Ladies day at the Derby was a great event for ladies displaying bold classy fascinating fascinators.

With perfect weather throughout the day we had nothing but pure sunshine as well as a 50-1 winner, fashion & betting sure go hand in hand.

The best dressed lady competition winner went to Leigh Johnson who won a £5000 Royal Caribbean Cruise!! as i’m pretty sure she also won best dressed in 2013….

As i made my own fascinator i really should have entered the Best Hat competition, maybe next year!!

Models from the Catwalk show  DSC_0201

So Spring is certainly in the air and after attending The London Fashion Weekend, it was for sure a great end to February and a warmer welcome to March.

This event was held at Somerset house in the Strand, central London & sponsored by Vodaphone. I was sure to collect my limited edition Pringle of Scotland tote bag from the Luxe Lounge filled with girly goodies. As the Prosecco & Elderflower were constantly flowing throughout followed by beautifully presented finger food.

The Trend Catwalk Show was presented by The which was great to see all the metallics & florals hit the runway. I was taken aback by the bold braveness of Fyodur Golan for the more young bold & yet funky individual. If i had my time again i would surely be rocking this designers vibrant pieces.

THE LFW POP-UP SHOPS were situated in the court yard building next to the Luxe Lounge. And the bigger stores had their own boutique style outlets in the main building to Somerset House.

I was meet by the lovely Antonia O’Brien who delivered a great style talk in which i’m thrilled to announce that the seventies are back baby!! (Yes!! the year i was born)

So think Suede/Leather tasseled skirts,high-waisted Flares, buttoned down shirts, high necklines & pussybow blouses, swanky turbans to tube tops, wrap dresses with a bold print, tie-dye floaty maxi dresses, the list is endless. The ‘Farrah Flick’ has been around for a while now, but still the most influential/memorable look of the 70’s BIG time!!

A Hot Little Number For Valentines Day Xx

It’s near approaching.

The most romantic day of the year  ‘Valentines’

Ladies, be sure to pull out all the stops for your date this weekend & what’s even better is that valentines falls on a Saturday this year.

So what to wear?

So hopefully your partner has something nice planned for you, from a cozy night at home in sultry silk pajamas or a night out with the girls but there’s one major hurdle as always – figuring out what to wear as we all need a little inspiration.

A two-piece elegant outfit with a contrast so for example ‘A maroon top paired with a black, gold or cream frilly skirt’

A sexy fitted red or black classic dress teamed with gold statement accessories are sure to capture your date’s attention turning heads for all the right reasons, even the leering guy at the end of the bar.

Now to complete the look with bold red, nude or black stilettos are a hot match, with a hard square dainty clutch bag for just your iphone, lipstick, keys & credit/debit card but ladies, DINNER SHOULD BE ON HIM !!!

The Big Freeze

Brace yourself UK, the big freeze is on it’s way.

So time to be wearing those layer’s upon layer’s, warm footwear & those gloves need to come out to play not to mention those woolly socks & patterned onesies.

Not everyone can compete with whats on the runway which is why i source my designs well, travel far and wide for the right pieces and at the right prices.

Faux fur headbands & scarves is way cheaper than the real thing & looks just as good.

For neutral outfits add a touch of colour to bring your chosen look to life.

For a festive look, keep it khaki green or burgundy red.

Turtlenecks have made a come back. On the plus side if worn then there’s no need to wear a scarf.

Leather leggings are big too as they keep in warmth but cost a fortune.

Here in our catalogue you’ll find a beautifully cut faux leather  pair with a leopard print strip at either side of the outer leg.

Finish off this look with a pair of black leather heels or go for knee high boots where no one will know you have on those fluffy woolly socks you got for Christmas last year!!

Knitwear This Season – Winter 2014

As the nights are getting darker earlier, it’s that time of year to shift your summer clothes away & making the transition from summer to autumn/winter 2014.

Think Capes, shawls & ponchos so layers upon layers really so as to stay cosy this winter. It’s all about patterns so the AZTEC print is ideal.

Bold patterned woollen tights, chunky heels & flat forms, yes flat forms & not platforms is definitely the look to aim for in the shoe/boot department.

The petite box trunk bag or a larger (super sized) scrunchy bag are big this season so think ‘something that you can hold with the hand’.
